FACE to FACE
FACE TO FACE OFF | an interactive web-based experience
by Kenya (Robinson) and Tommy Martinez
for THE 28TH AMENDMENT | Brooklyn Public Library
The Brooklyn Public Library has developed THE 28TH AMENDMENT project In an effort to mobilize the dynamic nature of the US Constitution, through town hall meetings, social media ambassadors, cultural producers, and an array of other sources. Multimedia conceptual artist Kenya (Robinson), in collaboration with composer, guitarist, and programmer, Tommy Martinez proposes an interactive web-based experience using audio material gathered from the voice mail prompts guided by the project's public engagement programming.
Users will utilize the site by allowing access to their phone/webcam. Instead of a realistic image posted within the browser, digitally responsive tiles will shift according to the subject's movement, triggering audio recordings in the style of mechanical mirrors.
