GIDDY the fuck up!

Kalup Linzy’s crafted melodramas have pulled my attention into the girls room once again. I am thrilled that his work has held onto the absurdist dazzle that I first witnessed at The Kitchen in 2009. Both earnest and lighthearted it manages to coax a cackle when left to simmer. And, according to the Youtube description box, 10 episodes of Ozara and Katessa are to be released on the occasion of Mr. Linzy’s 2019 Tulsa Artist Fellowship.

Linzy’s deliberately enunciated voice overs, keyboard sound scapes and petty Art World workings are calling. “Giddy the fuck up!”
